Didn't see Henry's love interest being someone Liz knew. And while the gene pool issue with the Gardiners makes sense, I wasn't thinking about that either. But you set it up pretty nicely so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

I'm such an idiot - I never even got the Henry-Denny thing until June posted about it. DUH!
Well, I can see why Henry is so worn out, he is worried about what everyone will think and him saying his mother might not approve Honestly a mothers love should be the best and warmest love, an unconditional love! Poor Henry.
I can't wait to find out what the dealio is with the Gardiners and Elisabeth. I know she is under some kind of misunderstanding and it would be really nice or her to have some family that really care - besides Jane that is.
Excellent Jen, thanks for the chapter.
Love how Darcy is learning all this diabetes stuff by crash course :)

That's my fault for taking eons to post new material. *bad author*

Anyways, Elisabeth overheard things in an argument when she was a child that cemented in her mind the idea that her grandparents blamed her for her mother's ill health. They did say those things, but hearing them with a child's understanding and out of context makes a great deal of difference in how they were meant. The fact that there was no contact for so many years, along with the ill-treatment of Mrs. B, only seemed to confirm her feelings that her grandparents hated her.

I was worried about how the Denny/Henry thing would be received. Glad most people (at least those who've im'd or emailed me) seem to be good with it.

Okay, so we met grandpa dearest, we met Denny, saw Henry hanging out in the closet... what's next? Hmm... I wonder... (evil author laugh goes here)

Wonderful chapter. I'm glad Liz seemed to reconnect with her Grandmother at least on some level. I was somewhat surprised at her intense hostility towards her grandfather. (Of course it's been a looooong time since I read Liz's comments to Will about her grandparents.)

The connection between Henry and Denny came as a surprise. Their meeting in Boston will be awkward for both!

Like Cheska, I too love the way Will and Liz champion each other!

Thanks for the update!

Wonderful chapter. I feel for Reynolds, he seems quite tormented since arriving in NYC. Denny-Reynolds, Reynolds-Denny is there a connection? I hope so.
What I truly like about this story is how Darcy and Liz champion each other. They are bound and determined to keep anyone or anything from interferring in their relationship.

Thank you for updating.

I look forward to more. I love that Mrs. Jennings does not care for Mrs. Bennet and her treatment of Elizabeth. Now if Mrs. J will hurry up ans speak to Darcy ... hmmm.

Very nice, thank you.

I'm so glad to see a new chapter of this wonderful story. I really love your characters and their interaction.

Mrs. Reynolds wouldn't object to any young girl Henry takes home, but how would she feel about a young man? I can't wait to have them meet in Lizzy's home! That should prove interesting.

Update soon please!

Ahh, Denny and Henry! Well, that will be fun to watch, but Darcy may be losing Henry ... hmmm... unless Denny moves to London.

Glad Liz saved her grandfather's life. Undiagnosed diabetes is serious; hard to believe his doctors didn't catch it, unless he has been avoiding doctors for years. I am interested in his reasons for not contacting Elisa/Liz before this, but I am still hoping it was a dastardly Mr Bennet trick.

Thanks for the new chapter, and I hope all is well with your family!!
